The iron head, consisting of seventeen tightly arranged flanges, forms a whole with the iron socket. Edges of flanges and the socket covered with sheet silver, engraved in areas filled with foliage ornament, partly gilded, partly in niello. Wooden half covered with black shagreen leather mounted at the bottom with sheet silver, decorated like the socket.
